While in Beijing to install our 1000 CELLPHONES project in the Synthetic Times exhibition we visited CAFA.

We were lucky to see some of the work that the students there are working on, which was mostly narrative. I was inspired by one in particular that very beautifully used Google Earth to create pinpoints around the globe to tell a story (I’m told it was a poem).

Created by Chen Zhou, it was really a new and interesting use of Google Earth. This inspired me to think about other uses for traditionally, solely used, geographic tools in other more artistic forms. :)
